Overlapping Watercolor

street car sceneWatercolor is a thin medium. Layering color gradually by overlapping pigments of color will create a rich tone in the painting. By laying one tone down and letting it dry and then adding another by overlapping another shade. The pigment mixes and creates a different color. This is a good way in creating your own palette. It is also a great way to build up flesh tones.
