COLOR GUIDE

The first step toward basic color theory is learning how to use color effectively, which is one of the most challenging steps for an artist. To master this process your need to start to understand the terms and concepts of color theory.  By understanding you will have to apply this to your art work, which means in laymen terms experience is the key.  A few key terms are spectrum, primary colors, secondary colors and tertiary colors is the beginning. Mixing colors and understanding color intensity and their many effects is fascinating but also a complicating feat, just remember to keep it simple and achieving harmony with the tones and create an interesting composition.

When working outdoors color becomes even more confusing than working in a studio. What I mean by that is when working in a studio you have more control of how you are seeing color. Develop a consistent harmony with color throughout your work.
